Let’s get brutally honest about LinkedIn.
(It’s not always sunshine, job offers, and inspo.)
Ever feel like LinkedIn has an unfiltered side?
Here are 7 truths we’ve all experienced but rarely admit:
• “Just Checking In” = I Need Something
→ You haven’t heard from them in 5 years.
→ Now suddenly, “Hey, how have you been?”
• Some posts = Novels
→ A motivational epic... that should’ve been a DM.
→ Less is more.
→ Seriously.
• The ‘Thought Leader’ Trap
→ Half share brilliance.
→ The other half… just share.
• Like, comment, repeat
→ It’s easy to chase metrics.
→ But are you tracking real value?
• Recruiter InMails
→ “You’re perfect for this job!”
→ It’s a forklift operator position.
→ You’re in marketing.
• Toxic Positivity in Disguise
→ \Grateful.
→ \Winning.
→ \Manifesting.
→ Sometimes your feed feels like a self-help cult.
• The Mysterious Algorithm
→ Why did that one post with a typo go viral?
→ Nobody.
→ Knows.
→ Anything.
If you nodded at least 3 times while reading this, you’ve seen LinkedIn’s unfiltered side.
Which one stings the most?
Or did I miss one?
Let’s hear your brutal truths in the comments.
